Open Additive Panda 06 (Metal Printer)

The Open Additive Panda 06 utilizes laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) technology to build dense metal parts. It features an open-architecture design that allows for configurable auxillary equipment (inert systems and nLight AFX-1000), optics, and multi-material printing. The machine is also equipped with Open Additive’s monitoring system, AMSENSE. AMSENSE allows for in-situ monitoring of spatter, tomography, and recoating. Additionally, the Open Additive Panda 06 has a heated build plate up to 500C.​

The inert system allows for oxygen to be purged down to 20 ppm. The nLight AFX-1000 has 7 different laser modalities with on-the-fly beam switching.
