Written by a student, article in manufacturing magazine highlights CDME student experience

Smart Manufacturing Magazine recently published an article featuring the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) additive manufacturing program and the real, hands-on experiences students receive. The article was written by CDME student writer, Alexandra Veneck.

The article explains how Jacob Rindler, CDME additive manufacturing (AM) technology leader, shares his passion for 3D printing with students to develop their technical skills and get them ready for employment after graduation.

“By layering technology development and student growth, CDME is poised to break down existing paradigms for experienced-based education while changing the way undergraduate students are prepared to enter the AM workforce,” Rindler said.

The article also highlights the how projects with industry partners prepare students for the workforce and connect them with companies for employment post-graduation.
